Hannah Riedel, BEI, EIPA 4.2, ASLPI 3+, B.A.
Hannah has more than 14+ years of professional interpreting experience and cherishes her time in supporting the next generation of interpreters. She focuses on the goals of the client and listens to their passions as she coaches them with expert level feedback on their skills.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in 2012, her EIPA score of 4.2 in 2019, and her BEI certification in 2024. Hannah specializes in remote interpreting, educational interpreting in the post-secondary setting, platform interpreting and leading professional workshops to support the community.
At Terp Coach, we understand the challenges and frustrations that aspiring interpreters face on their journey to becoming certified. We've been there ourselves. That's why we are here to bridge the gap between Interpreter Training Programs (ITPs) and national certification, providing you with the resources and guidance you need to succeed.
Our story began with a personal struggle. Hannah Riedel states, “After completing my ITP, I found myself searching for the tools and support necessary to pass national certification exams. Unfortunately, those resources were hard to come by. However, I refused to give up. With perseverance, determination, and a decade of hard work, I finally made it through the challenging transition from "pre-certified" to certified (BEI, EIPA).”
Terp Coach was born out of this transformative experience. Our mission is to empower passionate interpreters like you to pursue national certification with confidence and efficiency. We offer direct coaching, sharing the invaluable tips and strategies that I personally used to overcome obstacles and achieve certification.

We believe in intentional, deliberate practice and the practical application of the skills and knowledge that are often discussed in workshops but rarely applied in everyday work. Elizabeth Hydorn, NIC, B.A.
With over a decade of experience in American Sign Language interpreting, Elizabeth brings extensive expertise and passion to interpreter coaching. Earning her bachelor’s degree in 2015 and her NIC/RID certification in 2018, she has established herself as a skilled interpreter specializing in medical, religious, and post-secondary educational interpreting.
Elizabeth's experience taking the NIC with test anxiety and dyslexia required perseverance to develop strategies and techniques for test taking that she is passionate about sharing with others who have similar challenges. She has a deep understanding of complex interpreting environments, which enables her to provide targeted coaching that addresses mindset, processing skills, and the unique challenges interpreters face. Her comprehensive experience spans emergency room situations, concerts, the air and space field, Bible translation, international sign, PhD level classes, business meetings, tours, on the job trainings, Disney world shows, and various others.
As a coach, Elizabeth is committed to elevating the interpreting profession by helping both emerging and experienced interpreters refine their skills, build confidence, and navigate the certification journey. Her coaching approach combines technical skill development and in-depth mental approaches with practical strategies for real-world interpreting experiences. Whether you're preparing for certification for the 1st or 6th time, Elizabeth provides personalized guidance rooted in years of hands-on experience and tailored to you, with a thorough understanding of professional standards and test taking strategy.
